PITCHING MECHANICS &
ARM CARE

Pinpoint control, a full arsenal of pitches, and lethal velocity at any level are all by-products of stellar mechanics. We use a pro scout system to evaluate pitchers and get them on the path of a repeatable delivery, consistent arm slot, and lower body engagement. Technology is critical to player development. We use Rapsodo, the same tech that elite D1 schools and MLB teams use to measure pitch shape and monitor location.

Our Pitching Director has pulled together a vast library of drills, workouts, and tips to guide player improvement. Establishing a baseline of numbers allows us to chart progress as the player puts in the work. Routines will change from player to player and evolve over a period of time.

Arm care is a central feature of the TWRSB approach. Players are given an app that helps us design exercise routines and monitors progress in real-time. We teach band work, pre- and post-throwing routines, and recovery.

We pay particular attention to pitching muscle groups to ensure power and safety. Scapular development, accelerator, and decelerator muscles, and rotator cuff are on our radar screen. We geek out over “kinematic sequence patterns,” how efficiently the body moves from windup to delivery. Simply put, we’ll clean up your delivery and max your efficiency.

A hallmark of our program is Pitch Design. Our players greatly benefit from Raposodo’s ability to measure the spin rate and ball axis while plotting pitch trajectory. If we’re getting a little too nerdy, don’t worry! Our coaches will break it down for you.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

Baseball relies heavily on fast-twitch muscles. While some elite players were just born with more fast-twitch muscles than others, the rest of us have to work hard to develop them to increase speed, power, and mobility. Our in-house Strength and Conditioning Director, has cultivated player-tested routines that will get you game-ready. If you want to hit the ball further, throw it harder, and run faster, get started with us now. 

Our process begins with a baseline read of your personal numbers. We evaluate your athleticism using Kinetisense for movement screenings and Synapse to measure strength.  We then put you to work with a battery of exercises designed to make you better.  No two players are alike, so don’t expect a cookie-cutter, one size fits all solution. 

Depending on your needs, we use a combination of bands, Aquaballs and Aquavests and weights to create explosive power and speed. We also believe in bodyweight exercises that will have you jumping, running, and working your core all over our facility. We target arms, legs, and core to max out your ability. 

BASEBALL TECHNOLOGY 

TWRSB believes baseball tech is at its best when paired with an experienced coach who knows how to use it to enhance player performance. With so many products from high-speed cameras, to digital overlays to radar, we are living in a golden age of data analytics that is transforming the game.

There is no other coach in the country that has Coach Strickland’s tech resume. He has been at the forefront of the revolution at ground level. He helped pioneer Rapsodo data. HITTING MECHANICS & POWER 

Hitting the ball with power and consistency is what every player is looking for, so why do most facilities tell you how awesome they were when they played the game? Our guys played at the highest levels too, but our goal is to make you better, now. Like today.

Our Hitting Director’s focus is on swing mechanics. Hit the ball hard where they ain’t! Technique is key to unleashing your power. Proper mechanics address stance, footwork, barrel path and energy transfer.

The batter’s box can be a lonely place! Our coaches, don’t neglect the mental side of hitting. From preparation to execution to high stakes pressure hitting, our coaches have walked a mile in your cleats. They will prepare you to hit an 0-2 pitch with RISP.

Situational hitting is part art and part science. Our approach will back up your swing with a confidence-building strategy before you step in the box. For swing analysis, we take a deep dive into the numbers using Rapsodo as our guide. The radar and camera system allow our coaches to break your swing into bite-size coachable components to help you improve. Instant analysis of exit velocity, launch angle, and exit direction will increase your ability.

Hold Policy:

As stated in your membership agreement, you have the option to put your automatically recurring monthly membership on hold for any reason one (1) time per 6 month contract for up to 30 days and one (1) time per 12 month contract for up to 60 days. If you place your membership on hold and then elect to cancel your membership, you must still provide 30 days cancellation notice not including time on hold.
